Vana is a research student in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Tel Aviv University. In her dissertation, she writes about the ways in which social, legal, and medical practices are formulated, and on the other hand, challenge the "social death" of senior citizens with advanced dementia. In her study, she explores the daily activities and interactions that surround these seniors, especially in aspects related to food, nutrition, and artificial nutrition. Considering her findings, she undermines the supposedly necessary continuity between "subject" and "social agent," and describes seniors "without a subject" who are enveloped in their "outside social agency," and derives from the social world within which they are immersed.

Dr. Harel, a public law expert, lectures at Bar Ilan University's Faculty of Law and other academic institutions. From 2011 to 2016, Dr. Harel served as Assistant Attorney General. As an advisor, he was involved, among other things, in protecting disadvantaged populations, in legislative initiatives, in policy questions, and in determining the Attorney General's directives. Prior to that, he served as a faculty member and Dean of Students at the Gates of Science and Law Center and as an adjunct professor at the Tel Aviv University Faculty of Law. In 2006, he completed his PhD at the Bar-Ilan University. In teaching and research, Dr. Harel focuses on the fields of public law and private law. Alongside the publication of articles in these fields, in 2008, Dr. Harel published a comprehensive book on "Bipartisan Entities", which presents an analytical and comprehensive analysis of the applicability of administrative law to private entities that play vital and central positions with considerable power that can touch the lives of entire communities, such as: institutions for higher education, banks, social networks, sports associations and the like. His book is quoted and mentioned in dozens of judgments and professional legal literature. In 2019, Dr. Harel published a second and updated edition of this book: "Bipartisan entities and officers." One of the innovations in the latest release is the proposal to recognize that even a person who holds a public office - just like a corporation - can be classified as a "bipartisan person": as a private person whose legal personality is not the product of the law, and as an officer with a separate legal personality arising from his public status. The dual status of a bipartisan personality presents us with many challenges and raises questions, including: Is a public official allowed to express his or her own position within his public office? Is it appropriate to allow a demonstration in front of the private office of a public official? In the era of the fading of the separation between private and public, Dr. Harel offers to sketch a certain space of privacy in the public ocean in which such a person operates. On the other hand, even when the officer is working in the private sphere, it is suggested that he won’t be able to completely shed his public aspects.
