Biography
Prof. Rachel Blass, Head of the Clinical Psychology Master’s Program at the Peres Academic Center, is a clinical psychologist, a supervising psychoanalyst at the Israel Psychoanalytic Society, a member of the British Psychoanalytical Society, and is recognized as a central figure in the national and international psychoanalytic arena as a therapist, supervisor, researcher and lecturer. She has taught at academic institutions in England and Israel, and previously served as the Head of the Clinical Psychology Program at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Publications and Research: Prof. Blass has published over a hundred articles and several books in the fields of psychoanalysis and clinical psychology, which have been translated into 15 languages. Her work critically examines the fundamental concepts of psychoanalysis and analyzes their implications for therapeutic work, and her writings are studied in many clinical and academic institutions.
Professional Involvement: Prof. Blass is active in international psychoanalytic organizations (EPF, IPA) and serves on the editorial board of the International Journal of Psychoanalysis. She has participated in governmental and academic committees, and teaches and supervises students and professionals from around the world.
