Biography
Dr. Haviva Eyal is a clinical psychologist with a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Tel Aviv University, a doctorate from the University of Connecticut, and a post-doctorate from the University of California. Dr. Eyal studied organizational development in a special program in Washington (NTL) and studied at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in Prof. Salvador Minuchin’s curriculum. She was part of the team that accompanied the writing of his seminal book on family therapy, with many of the cases described in it taken from the practicum work of the groups studying in Philadelphia at that time. Dr. Eyal continued to study in a large number of workshops, courses, and specialization programs in various places in the USA and Europe.
Dr. Eyal is one of the founders of the “Shinui Institute,” an institute for family therapy and training professionals in the field. Dr. Eyal served for over 20 years as co-director and head of the training center at the institute, and she continues to teach there today. Dr. Eyal teaches a family therapy course in the clinical psychology master’s program at Reichman University and works as a supervisor and therapist for individuals, couples, and families in private practice.
