Lecturer in the Department of Health Systems Management. Dr. Bashkin’s key research interests cover: Quality and Safety in Health Systems, Human Factor Engineering, and Psychology in Health Systems.
Dr. Bashkin’s recent research focuses on psychological issues in health such as self-management models of chronic illness, risk factors for the development of depressive symptoms in diabetic adults, and applications of human factors engineering to prevent medical errors.
Dr. Bashkin’s studies combine different disciplines and therefore have a unique contribution to a better understanding of the quality of health care and patient safety in health systems.
Dr. Bashkin’s research is published in leading health journals.
