Biography
Dr. Yael Doron is a psychologist, couple and group therapist, researcher and lecturer on relationships, relations and individual and group therapy. She holds a doctorate from the Department of Counseling and Human Development at the Faculty of Education, University of Haifa, a master’s degree with honors in Counseling Psychology from Tel Aviv University, and a bachelor’s degree with honors in Criminology, Sociology and Anthropology from Bar-Ilan University. Furthermore, she has a graduate certificate in Medical Psychology from Tel Aviv University, and in also a graduate of the four-year program of the Israeli Institute of Group Analysis.
Yael runs the Zugot Institute for treatment in the fields of relationships and relations in Ramat Gan. She also serves as a faculty member and lecturer in the Department of Education at the University of Haifa, Peres Academic College in Rehovot, the Israel Institute for Group Analysis (IIGA) and the program for training group facilitators at the Central School for Social Workers of the Ministry of Welfare. In addition, she guides professional teams in various public service organizations, and holds many lectures, private training and workshops, in organizations and institutions in Israel and abroad.
Yes.From 2001 to 2005, Yael chaired the Ynet Psychology Forum. Then, from 2006 to 2011, together with her partner Gili Bar, who is trained as a social worker, coach and group facilitator, they wrote a column on Ynet on relationships and relations. In 2003 and 2004, as a psychologist, she accompanied participants of Project Y, which was produced by Yes. In 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 she gained a lot of media exposure as a member of the team of experts in the second, third and fourth season of the TV show Married at First Sight, on Keshet 12.
