Biography
Dr. Moshe Schwartz holds a B.A. (summa cum laude) in Middle Eastern and African studies from Tel Aviv University, an M.A. (summa cum laude) in Communication from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and an M.A. thesis and Ph.D. in Communication from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. His doctoral dissertation examined public participation in Net Neutrality policymaking in the United States and Israel. He completed his postdoctoral studies at the Faculty of Law at Tel Aviv University, where his research focused on user privacy and data protection, and served concurrently as an affiliated fellow at the Safra Center for Ethics at Tel Aviv University.
His research focuses on communication policy and regulation, theories of media and public participation, the relationship between society and communication technologies, and the political economy of media and communication. Prior to his academic career, he held regulatory roles in Israel’s commercial communications sector and worked as an independent consultant in media and communications.
