Exams are held on two pre-scheduled dates: a first and a second (Moed B). Any student who was not able to take a course’s exam on the first date for a justifiable reason may take the exam on the second date. Such students will be entitled to submit a request for a special date if they fail the exam on the second date. Any student who was absent from the exam on the second date for a justifiable reason will be entitled to submit a request to take the exam on a special date.

Justifiable reasons for absence from an exam:

  1. If two exams were held on the same date.
  2. Reserve duty (as specified in the Reserve Duty Procedures).
  3. Hospitalization, illness, bed rest during pregnancy, childbirth, etc.
  4. Any other reason which the Dean of Students will deem as justifiable (such as: the shiva mourning period for first degree relatives).

Special date request submission procedure:

  • Special date requests must be submitted by email to the Dean of Students supervisors ([email protected]).
  • Please attach relevant documents to your request (medical approval, active reserve duty approval, etc.). Requests submitted without such required documentation will not be processed (medical approvals issued retroactively will not be considered as valid justification for any absence from exams).
  • Submission deadline: three days following the publication of second date’s exam results.
