The law is comprehensive and covers the daily life reality of individuals, groups, and organizations, in particular in the era of globalization and regulation. What are the studies in the degree

The program graduates will not be authorized as lawyers or manage legal files, rather, they will turn into aware consumers of the legal services surrounding them – as managers, employees, public servants and as citizens. Additionally, they will obtain broad knowledge supported by the sills of law, regarding everything related to the modern labor market and labor laws.

The studies program is built of:

Mandatory courses – the mandatory courses mainly deal with the legal core areas. Those curses deal with the law of torts, labor laws, public law, contracts law, Israeli law, jurisprudence.

Elective courses – The elective courses deepen the knowledge obtained in the mandatory courses and broaden it. Psychology in management, organizational behavior, issues in economy and society, the work of directors in a commercial company.

This certificate provides the skills required for the role of director and its various financial and legal aspects. The course will prepare participants to best understand the director's role in an optimal manner, and will be taught by the best lecturers in the field, led by Dr. Avi Weinroth and the CPA and Adv. Simcha Lev.

Mediation Diploma

The world of mediation has become an essential part of the business and legal world in the past decades. The Peres Academic Center Mediation Program, conducted together with Bar Siah, a company recognized by the Ministry of Justice.

aims to provide students a language, thinking habits, various negotiation techniques and practical tools for settling disputes and reaching accords.

Mediation, as a managerial tool, presents an organized set of stages, processes and skills that enable results.

The program includes comprehensive theoretical studies alongside practical experience through simulations and hands-on mediation processes as a neutral third party in the legal world and as a party in negotiating conflicts characteristic of business organizations. Students who meet program requirements, will be awarded an authorized mediator certificate from the Ministry of Justice.

Admission conditions to Graduate degree in law for non-jurists [M.A.]

Admitted to the program will be candidates meeting the following conditions:

The holder of an undergraduate degree in any field from a recognized institution, with an average grade of 80 and above, or an equivalent grade for those who completed undergraduate degree abroad.
Holders of a second or third degree from a recognized institution
In exceptional cases – graduates of an academic degree that do not meet those conditions and will be admitted at the discretion of the admission committee under a status of “conditional” and will be required to meet the terms determined for them upon their admission to the studies.

What are the principal areas of studies for a law degree for non-jurists?

The variety of courses in the program are intended to give the students a broad legal comprehension and managerial and behavioral – psychological tools, with a focus on the social aspects and on the way in which the law influences society and shapes it, and on the way in which the individual’s behavior, the single, acts, is regularized and is represented in the modern world in the customary legal reality. Those courses are of utmost importance to those who are not necessarily engaged in management, but are found in the labor market.

The Degree Plus is a unique course granting its graduates professional certificates already during the degree studies. The Peres Academic Center operates a variety of internal and external scholarships plans on a voluntary base or on a socio-economic base, which assist many students in financing their studies towards a degree. You can read about those plans here.

The Peres Academic Center there is a unit named “Career Development Unit” preparing the students for work interviews and writing curriculum vitae with the advisors of the Career Development Unit, additionally, the Unit operates an employment fairs program with leading companies in the market for employee recruitment.
