Undergraduate degree in Managerial Information Systems [B.A.]

A first degree in Managerial Information Systems prepares its graduates for the challenges and needs of the information systems environments and prepare for the work in the high-tech industry in Israel and in the world. The degree integrates knowledge from the business administration studies, management studies, economy, and strategy simultaneously with computers studies and information systems.

One of the large revolutions of our generation is the information revolution. Information becomes more accessible, and the new technological tools enable its storage and its analysis in diverse ways. This revolution also presents a one-time opportunity to a promising career because it generates a critical need in this field of specialization, which continues to accelerate.

The Managerial Information Systems studies program prepares its graduates for the challenges and needs of the Information Systems environment and prepares for work in the high-tech industry in Israel and the world.

The degree integrates knowledge from the business administration studies, management studies, economy, and strategy simultaneously with computers studies and information systems.

The studies program provides professional tools enabling integration in the high-tech branch already at the end of the first year of studies and reflects the experience gained in the fields of information systems in universities in Israel and the world. The program components were adapted to the requirements presented by the leading entities in the world.

The program at the Peres Academic Center operates in cooperation with the Israeli Chamber of Information Technology.

Admission conditions to Managerial Information Systems [B.A.]

To the program will be admitted candidates that meet the following conditions:

Entitlement to a matriculation certificate with a weighted grade average of at least 90, with at least a grade of 75 in 5 study units of mathematics, or at least a grade of 85 in 4 study units of mathematics.
Those with a matriculation average ranging between 75 and 89 can be admitted on condition and will be required to achieve an average of at least 70 during the first year.
Students that do not meet the mathematics condition will be required to pass a preparatory class in mathematics.
Exemption in mathematics will be given based on a grade of 120 and above in the quantitative thinking chapter of a psychometric exam achieved during the past 10 year, and at least 4 units of mathematics studies, or equivalent academic studies or such that exceed in scope in the field of mathematics studied during the past 10 years.

Degree Plus is a unique track providing a variety of professional certificates already during the degree studies without additional cost. In the undergraduate degree in Managerial Information Systems there is a variety of certificates providing our graduates a clear advantage in the labor market: Cyber and Data and Infrastructures Protection Certificate, Technological Entrepreneurship Certificate, and Projects management in Information Systems certificate.

So, studies are conducted in Zoom or on the campus?

Currently and until further notice on the subject, studies are conducted in a combined format: Frontal studies on campus are possible or learning online – at the student’s choice (except for specific courses). For complete information, leave your details and a studies consultant will contact you.

Can I work during my studies?

Indeed, most of our students successfully combine studies and work, so that practical experience can be gained already during the time of studies.

Is it possible to receive help in financing the studies?

The Peres Academic Center operates a variety of internal and external scholarships plans on a voluntary base or on a socio-economic base, which assist many students in financing their studies towards a degree. You can read about those plans here.

Do you assist students in finding work?

Certainly. With the assistance of the Career Development Unit, the Center successfully places many graduates and students. The Career Development Unit grants a full cover: from the stage of curriculum vitae preparation to the placement stage.

Is there a course of studies in which there is a promised work?

The Peres Academic Center in the only academic institute in Israel that offers a course of studies with a secured work. The graduates of Managerial Information Systems in the Cyber and Data Protection course receive a contractual undertaking to work in high-tech after graduation.
