Biography
Lecturer. Lectures in the fields of health systems management, health economics, Israeli and international health systems, human resources, logistics, clinic management, and more. He holds a PhD in Health Systems Management and an MA in Business Administration from Ben Gurion University of the Negev. His doctoral dissertation engaged with the field of medical service provision, and the development of a medical service provision model for permanent soldiers in the IDF. This is a unique field of research, making a unique and valuable contribution to IDF decision makers, as well as being innovative in the field of health policy research in Israel. He currently manages the Rehovot District at Maccabi Healthcare Services, including responsibility for the comprehensive management of healthcare services provided to Maccabi Healthcare Services’ members in Rehovot, while complying with clinical quality, service, and budget destinations. He is a former senior officer in the IDF Medical Corp (with a Colonel’s rank) has served in a broad variety of headquarter, command, and training positions, including as the commander of the Military Medical School, assistant of the head medical officer of the Organizational and Administration Division, as well as the head of the Organization and Administration branch of the IDF Medical Services Center. He has rich experience in senior management in general, and within the health field in particular, including great experience with the management of a very large training center, professional training and mentorship for dozens of positions in the IDF medical services, initiation, planning and management of large and complex medical operations, comprehensive responsibility for human resource management in paramedical professions from the aspects of recruitment, hiring, service tracks and service programs. He is employed in Peres Academic center in a scope of 75%.
