Biography
Dr. Einat Yakira is a lecturer at the School of Behavioral Sciences at Peres Academic Center. She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Child Psychology from Tel Aviv University and a Ph.D. from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. Dr. Yakira’s doctoral dissertation examined patterns of parental warmth and their impact on children’s motivation to learn. Previously, she taught at Ben-Gurion University as part of the Master’s program in Psychology and at the Open University.
Dr. Yakira is an expert clinical psychologist with extensive experience in therapeutic work with adolescents and adults across various populations and types of pathologies, focusing on depression, life cycle crises, and post-trauma. Her work is based on dynamic approaches combined with cognitive-behavioral tools. Over the years, she has worked at the Abarbanel Mental Health Center, the Ministry of Defense clinic at Sheba Hospital, and in private practice.
