The Master’s program in Human Resource Management is designed to train the next generation of human resource managers who are capable of tackling the complex challenges of the modern and dynamic job market.

The program combines in-depth theoretical knowledge with practical career development tools and focuses on three key areas:

Human Resource Management – in collaboration with the “Human Resources for Israel” Association; Strategic Management of Human Capital and Management of Work Systems.

The program trains its graduates for senior management, headquarters, and consulting positions, either as employees or freelancers, and gives them the ability to lead human capital in organizations by combining strategy with execution.

The program operates within the framework of the School for Human Capital Development, led by Prof. Yoav Ganzach, an international expert who has taught at leading universities in the United States, including Columbia University and New York University

Admission Requirements

Candidates who meet the following conditions will be accepted to the program:

 

  • Holders of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited higher education institute with a grade point average of 80 or higher.
  • Applicants whose background in Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior, and Statistics is insufficient will be required to complete prerequisite courses, as detailed below.
  • Submission of a personal statement and letter of intent.
  • Submission of a résumé.

Please note:

* In this program, exceptional candidates may be admitted up to a quota of 10%, based on consideration of extraordinary life circumstances.
** Meeting the registration requirements does not guarantee acceptance into the program.
*** The opening of the program is subject to approval by the Council for Higher Education (CHE). In the event that the Peres Academic Center does not receive accreditation to award a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management, students in the program will be able to complete their studies with a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree.

Supplementary Studies:

Candidates who did not study human resource management, organizational behavior, and statistics as part of their Bachelor’s Degree will be required to take the following courses during the first semester:

  • Introduction to Human Resource Management, 2 semester hours
  • Introduction to Statistics, 2 semester hours
  • Organizational Behavior (integrated Micro and Macro), 2 semester hours

* Supplementary courses do not earn credits.
** A condition for advancing during the course of study: Obtaining a passing grade (65) or higher in each of the first-year courses.

The Program’s Curriculum

The Master’s Degree program in Human Resource Management focuses on three main core areas.

Each field provides theoretical knowledge alongside practical tools, and upon completion of their studies, students will be awarded a professional certificate for each one:

  1. Human Resource Management – in collaboration with the “Human Resources for Israel” Association, Israel’s leading professional body for advancing the field of human resources.
  2. Strategic Human Resource Management.
  3. Work System Management.

As part of your studies, you will acquire theoretical and practical foundations in human resource management as a strategic business partner, while delving into recruitment techniques, training, employee evaluation, and current remuneration models.

As part of the course, you will receive tools for strategic thinking that combines business goals with the latest HR tools

As part of the course, you will refine skills in team management and negotiation within a dynamic organizational system, through simulations and the examination of aspects such as power, ethics, and decision-making.

The program is designed for holders of a bachelor’s degree who wish to advance to senior management and headquarters positions in the field of human resources, as well as graduates from other fields who aspire to expand their understanding of human resource management and acquire advanced analytical and technological tools alongside developing and leading innovation in organizations.

 

The Master’s Degree program at the Peres Academic Center provides human resource managers with the most advanced toolbox, combining theoretical knowledge with practical experience in a unique way. The program, which operates in collaboration with the “Human Resources for Israel” Association, includes an applied practicum that allows students to specialize in leading companies during the course of study. All of this is offered in a format specially tailored to working people and families, concentrated into just one day of study per week, allowing students to combine professional development with career management.

Holders of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited higher education institute with a grade point average of 80 or higher. Applicants who do not have a relevant academic background (such as human resources, behavioral sciences, or business administration) will be required to complete the following courses:Introduction to Human Resources Management (2 semester hours), Introduction to Statistics (2 semester hours), and Organizational Behavior (2 semester hours).

    The schedule is concentrated and designed for working people (including evening classes), allowing you to advance your career while continuing to work.

As part of the Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management, students can choose between writing a research seminar paper or participating in an applied practicum designed for selected students.
The practicum offers a unique opportunity to join leading organizations and lead a practical HRproject under the guidance of a professional mentor.
