Due to the security situation in Israel, is attending classes mandatory?
A student in reserve and in full-time army service, their spouses, and residents of the Gaza surrounding area (up to 7 km) and settlements relocated following the campaign, are entitled to be absent from classes and their rights will not be affected with regards to attendance requirements, eligibility to sit exams, submission of papers or receiving a beneficial score.
Special exam dates will be given to these students + the deadlines for submitting the work and assignments of students in the above groups shall be postponed.
I serve in the reserves/security forces, and will not be able to start the school year on time, will there be an orderly repeat of all the material as promised?
All courses will be re-offered, in a dedicated manner, over three consecutive days, 8 hours per day, on Zoom, at different times (depending on the course), between 21/01 and 16/02, in the hope that the war will be over by then. These lessons, as well as all lessons in the center, will also be recorded and available for future viewing. At the end of the re-offered courses, a certain means of evaluation (exam/work) will be given. In other words, the semester effectively begins towards the end of January for those most affected by the war.
All material is recorded and available for viewing at any time.
The center will provide reserve soldiers with individual complementary hours by the course lecturer in order to complete the study material, as well as tutoring hours, explanations towards the exam and necessary adjustments in the exams.
As mentioned above, all the material will be supplemented so that the studies are concluded on time for everyone.
We are serving in the security forces, we did not have time to take the Amiram test and will probably not be able to, what does this mean for us?
Sitting the Amiram exam is not mandatory. If you couldn’t make it, you can start from a pre-basic level which appears in your schedule. If a student is still interested in taking the test, the test can be taken at a later date (in coordination with the English unit). English requirements that are due by the end of the first year – will be postponed to the end of the second year for members of the security forces and those relocated from their residence.
Those in military reserve service do not always have access to a computer or cell phone, how can they adapt themselves to the studies?
Classes are recorded, and individual complementary hours and marathons will be given by the course lecturer to all reservists and career personnel at the front and home front, in order to complete the hours after the end of the war.
Moreover, all courses will be re-offered, in a dedicated manner, over three consecutive days, 8 hours per day, on Zoom, at different times (depending on the course), between 21/01 and 16/02, in the hope that the war will be over by then. These lessons will also be recorded and available for future viewing. At the end of the re-offered courses, a certain means of evaluation (exam/work) will be given.
I am a reservist or an army career personnel, who do I need to contact to get help?
