Midreshet Daniel operates within the framework of the Peres Academic Center with the aim of establishing a diverse student community connected to Jewish tradition and values.

Midreshet Daniel, named after the late Major Daniel Peretz, who died defending the people and the land in the heroic battles of the Iron Swords War, will hold lectures and Torah talks by key figures in Israeli public life, alongside experiential activities that strengthen Jewish roots and the value of unity. Students who participate in at least 80% of the sessions will be eligible to receive up to 3 credits as part of "social involvement".
Midrasha Activities:
- Holding 8 annual meetings featuring lectures by key figures in Israeli public life, with an emphasis on Israeli heritage and Jewish unity.
- Holding annual social activities to strengthen Jewish roots and reinforce the unity of Israel.
- Establishing collaborations between researchers at the Institute for the Unity of Israel and suitable students.
- Encouraging students to take responsibility and contribute to Israeli society out of a sense of connection to the Jewish people and the State of Israel.
- Studying and deepening one's understanding of Jewish tradition and values.
- Participation in the activities of the Institute for the Unity of Israel in order to promote academic research and public activity.
Social activities:
- Tour of sites that symbolize the unity of Israel.
- Community tour.
- Meeting with new immigrants and members of different populations in Israeli society.
- Involvement of Midrasha members in traditional events organized by the student union.
- Tour on Jerusalem Day.

Academic eligibility:
Participation in at least 80% of the sessions entitles students to up to 3 credits under "Social Involvement".
Who can join:
Students who are found to be suitable after a personal interview with the Midrasha Director, Dr. Shaul Sharff.
Midrasha Activity Schedule:
- The Midrasha will begin operating in October 2025, at the start of the 2025-2026 academic year.
- The meetings will be held once every month and a half – a total of about 8 meetings per academic year on Tuesdays between 14:00 and 16:00.
- Each meeting will begin with a 10-15 minute Torah lesson or short talk to encourage Jewish spirit.
