Dr. Emma Averbuch

Dr. Emma Averbuch lectures in the Department of Health Systems Management at the Peres Academic Center, as well as several other higher education institutions.
At the same time, Dr. Averbuch works in the strategic and economic planning administration of the Ministry of Health. Her field of activity in the Ministry of Health includes formulating and implementing policies to reduce social, economic and geographical disparities in health and healthcare, as well as making information available to decision makers and the general public.
In her training, Dr. Averbuch is a sociologist, holds a PhD in Social Sciences from the Hebrew University and graduates with a unique personal track in the sociology of health and medicine.
As part of her professional contribution, Emma is also active in the Helsinki Commission of Hadassah Hospital to examine patient rights in medical research.
