Dr. Adi Mana specializes in educational psychology, and works as a family and couple’s therapist (specialist and teacher). She is the supervisor of the practicum program and one of the main lecturers of the Educational Psychology MA program with a focus on pre-school and early school ages. Adi works as an educational psychologist in the Merhavim Psychological Services, as well as her own private clinic. She has worked for 5 years in the Sderot Parent and Children’s Center. Her main fields of specialty are couple’s and family therapy in various methods, trauma treatment, mediation, and cooperative divorce. Adi has holds an MA and PhD in educational psychology from Ben Gurion University, and a postdoctoral degree from Ben Gurion University and Georg-August Gottingen University. She served as a lecturer in Ben Gurion University and Sapir College for a decade. Her research focuses on the relations between majority and minority groups, collective narrative perceptions, the sense of coherence and coping strategies adopted by minority group members in interactions with majority group members. In addition, she is engaged in the development of models for systematic treatment of at-risk families and children.
