Department of Nutritional Sciences

Opened in 2013, the Bachelor Degree in Nutritional Sciences (B.Sc.) is the first B.Sc. program in an Israeli academic institution, not financially supported by the government.

The mission and scholarly activities of the Department integrate knowledge from the physical, biological and social sciences in several focus areas – the molecular, human, international and community nutrition.


Among other fields, students study chemistry, anatomy, physiology, and the human metabolism. The course also incorporates elements of disease prevention and epidemiology, and improving public nutritional awareness.
